Dr. Rebecca Ingram
Curator of Exhibits and Collections

In her role as Curator, Dr. Rebecca Ingram manages collections and designs exhibits at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. Working with museums, archaeological excavations, and research projects in Turkey, Israel, and the U.S., she has engaged in the hands-on study of such diverse materials as Ice Age fossils, Late Bronze Age glass, and 19th-century American steamboats.

Rebecca is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Research Associate with the Institute of Nautical Archaeology. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology at Texas A&M University, specializing in Nautical Archaeology. For her doctoral dissertation, she conducted a detailed study of a 7th-century shipwreck from the Theodosian Harbor excavations in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to serving as curator at the Brazos Valley Museum, Rebecca continues to participate in archaeological research and publication, including work as an editorial assistant for the American Journal of Archaeology.
